toddler room

Our Toddler Room is a lively, friendly space designed for children aged roughly two to three years — an age full of movement, language, and growing independence. It’s a place where curiosity leads the day and where play, care, and learning happen side by side.

The room layout encourages freedom and choice, with clearly defined areas for creative play, construction, role play, and quiet moments with books. Low-level shelving and open baskets help toddlers begin to make their own decisions and take responsibility for tidying away their toys — small but important steps towards independence.

Encouraging self-care

Practitioners support children as they learn to express themselves, form friendships, and develop key self-care skills such as handwashing, dressing, and early toilet training. The environment is calm but purposeful, allowing children to explore safely and confidently with familiar adults always close by.

Messy play, music, and small-group activities are part of each day, alongside outdoor time in the garden where toddlers can dig, climb, and run freely. Our practitioners plan experiences that build on each child’s interests, helping them to discover new ideas through language, movement, and imagination.

Every day in the Toddler Room brings new challenges and triumphs — a world of first friendships, first sentences, and growing confidence.
